Some of us grew up in Central Florida and have been on ladders since we were old enough to hold a shingle nail. Others came to the trade later, after realizing a desk job couldn’t compete with a Florida sunrise from a ridge line. What unites us is simple: we do the job the way we’d want it done on our own homes, and we don’t leave until it’s right. That’s not a slogan around here. It’s how Grant runs the place, and it’s how every one of us keeps our job.

Marcus T. – Lead Technician

Marcus has been with Mercer Roofing Co Orlando for eleven years, and if your roof has a problem he can’t identify within the first ten minutes of walking it, it’s probably not a roof problem. He started out doing tear-offs in the summer heat and worked his way up to lead tech the honest way, job by job. Marcus holds manufacturer certifications through GAF and CertainTeed, which means he’s authorized to install their systems to warranty spec. When he’s not on a roof, he’s rebuilding a 1972 Chevelle in his garage in College Park, one weekend at a time. Ask him about it and you’ll get the full rundown, complete with part numbers.

Daniel R. – Senior Installer

Daniel runs our installation crews and has a reputation for being particular about flashing. Not because he enjoys it, but because he’s seen what happens in Orlando when flashing is done carelessly, and it’s never a small fix. He’s been with the company for eight years and carries certifications with Owens Corning and Atlas. Daniel grew up in Apopka and still lives there with his wife and two Labs. He’ll tell you the worst part of his job isn’t the heat, it’s the afternoon thunderstorms that roll in right when the underlayment is halfway down. His crews know that when Daniel says it’s time to tarp and tie off, nobody argues.

Elena S. – Service Coordinator

He’s from the Conway area and still lives there, which means he’s usually the first one on site when a job is nearby. Jake handles a lot of the ground work, material staging, and cleanup, and the other guys will tell you nobody keeps a shingle bundle organized like he does. He’s earning his hours and logging every lesson in a notebook that’s already gone through two covers. If you see a young guy on your property moving like he’s got somewhere to be, that’s Jake.
