Boral Gutter Replacement: The Orlando Owner’s Guide

Boral gutter replacement in Orlando typically runs $14 to $28 per linear foot installed, with most single-story homes landing between $1,800 and $4,200 for a full gutter run. We stock Boral-compatible gutter profiles and matching hardware on our trucks, so most Orlando replacements are completed the same day we arrive. Most homeowners discover the problem during a heavy afternoon storm, when water spills over the front edge instead of flowing to the downspout, or when they spot a section of gutter sagging away from the fascia board after months of leaf weight and Florida humidity.

What we see most often in Orlando is not a single dramatic failure but a slow one: a joint that starts dripping, a bracket that pulls loose from soggy fascia, a downspout that separates at the elbow. Boral gutters are solid products, but our climate works against every gutter system. Afternoon thunderstorms dump an inch of rain in twenty minutes, oak leaves and pine needles clog the channels, and the humidity keeps everything damp long after the sun comes back out. By the time a homeowner calls us, the gutter has usually been failing quietly for months.

Here’s what you need to know before you spend a dollar. We’re an independent Orlando roofing and gutter contractor, not affiliated with Boral, but we install and replace Boral gutter systems every week. Grant Whitlock, our owner, learned the trade at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College and has spent nearly two decades on roofs and gutter lines. He’ll tell you the same thing he tells every Orlando homeowner: a gutter replacement is a straightforward job when the right parts are on the truck and the price is in writing before work starts.

Which Boral Models This Applies To

Boral manufactures gutters under a few distinct product lines, and the replacement path depends on which one you have. The three you’re most likely to find on an Orlando home are the Boral Contour series, the Boral Classic series, and the Boral Half-Round profile. Each uses different hanger styles and joining systems, and the parts are not interchangeable across lines.

Here’s the compatibility gotcha we run into constantly in Orlando: Boral Contour gutters use a snap-in internal bracket system, while Classic uses exterior fascia brackets. If a handyman replaces a Contour section with a generic bracket-mounted gutter, the joint will never seat correctly, and you’ll get a drip at the seam within the first rainy season. We’ve fixed enough of those mismatches to know the pattern: the homeowner paid for a cheap repair, then paid us to redo it properly six months later.

To identify your Boral model, look inside the gutter channel. Boral stamps the series name and the profile code on the interior wall, usually every eight to ten feet. If the stamp has worn away, measure the top opening: Contour runs 5 inches, Classic runs 6 inches, and Half-Round measures 6 inches across the top with a deeper bowl. The downspout dimensions matter too – Contour pairs with 2×3 downspouts, while Classic and Half-Round use 3×4. Matching the downspout is not optional; undersizing it creates overflow during Orlando’s heaviest downpours.

When it comes to OEM versus aftermarket, our position is consistent: if your Boral gutter run is less than ten years old and you’re replacing a section due to isolated damage, OEM Boral sections will match the color and profile exactly. That’s worth the small premium. If the gutter run is older and you’re replacing the full perimeter, quality aftermarket gutter in the same profile and gauge will perform equivalently at a lower material cost. We’ll show you both prices and let you decide. We never substitute parts without telling you first.

Signs Your Boral Gutter Replacement Is Failing

  • Water pouring over the lip during rain. This usually means the gutter is either clogged, undersized for the roof slope, or pitched wrong. If it’s happening on a Boral Contour run that’s worked fine for years, the internal brackets have likely snapped, and the gutter is no longer holding its slope.
  • Gutter pulling away from the fascia board. In Orlando, this is almost always rotted wood behind the bracket, not a bracket failure. The humidity and trapped moisture eat the fascia from behind. A replacement gutter won’t hold until the fascia is repaired, which is why we inspect and quote the wood repair as part of every gutter replacement.
  • Visible gaps at seams or joints. Boral gutters are joined with sealant and connectors. Once the sealant dries out and shrinks, water leaks through the seam and down the side of your house. You’ll see dark staining on the fascia or the siding below the joint.
  • Downspout separated at the elbow. The weight of a clogged downspout will pull it apart at the weakest connection, usually the elbow. If you can see a gap or the downspout is angled away from the wall, water is dumping at your foundation line.
  • Rust streaks or pinhole leaks on the gutter bottom. Standing water from poor drainage will eventually rust through steel gutters or erode aluminum. If you see pinpricks of light when you look up from below, the gutter bottom is compromised and needs section replacement.

One more thing we tell every Orlando homeowner: if you see granules from your shingles collecting in the gutter, that’s a separate warning sign about your roof. We’ll mention it if we see it during a gutter replacement, because the two systems work together, and you deserve to know what’s actually up there.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

Here’s what you can expect to pay for Boral gutter replacement in Orlando, based on the homes we work on across the area:

  • Sectional replacement (10 – 20 linear feet, one or two sections): $350 – $700 installed
  • Single-story full gutter replacement (120 – 180 linear feet): $1,800 – $3,600 installed
  • Two-story full gutter replacement with downspouts: $3,200 – $5,800 installed
  • Fascia repair (if the wood is rotted, per 8-foot section): $120 – $240

What drives the range is the height of the home, the condition of the fascia, the number of downspouts, and whether you need OEM Boral sections or aftermarket equivalents. Two-story work costs more because of ladder access and safety time. Every quote we give in Orlando includes the gutter sections or full runs, matching downspouts, hangers, sealant, debris disposal, and labor. You get a written line-item price before we touch anything, and that price doesn’t change unless we find rotted wood or hidden damage, which we’ll show you and quote separately before proceeding.

Every Boral gutter replacement we install carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise. If anything we installed fails within a year, we come back and make it right, free. That’s a written guarantee on every job, not a verbal assurance.

DIY or Call Us?

Gutter replacement is not a high-danger job like spring or electrical work, but it is a ladder job, and ladder injuries are one of the most common roofing-related ER visits in Central Florida. If you’re comfortable on a ladder, have a helper, and are replacing a short reachable section, you can certainly inspect the damage yourself: look for separated joints, check whether brackets are still holding, and clear out debris to see what you’re working with. What you shouldn’t do is attempt a two-story replacement or work from a roof edge without proper fall protection. That’s where we draw the line.

Where DIY gutter replacement goes wrong in Orlando is almost always the pitch. Gutters need a quarter-inch of slope per ten feet toward the downspout. Too little, and water pools. Too much, and water overshoots the downspout inlet. Then there’s the joint sealing; most homeowners use the wrong sealant, and it fails within one Florida summer. If you’re replacing a section and the water still doesn’t drain after a downpour, call us at (850) 757-3564. We’ll get it right.
